Solar, battery storage and backup—designed as one coordinated system.
SolaX X1 and X3 Hybrid inverters can manage solar generation, battery charging and grid interaction in one platform. Mr Solar sizes the inverter, battery and protected circuits around the property rather than treating backup as a vague “off-grid” promise.

The incoming supply and demand profile come first.
The inverter must match the electrical supply, array, battery, peak loads and DNO conditions. The panel total alone does not determine the right model.
X1 Hybrid G4 — single phase
3.0–7.5 kWTypically suited to homes and smaller premises with a single-phase supply. Two MPPT trackers support flexible roof and string layouts.
X3 Hybrid G4 — three phase
5–15 kWFor three-phase homes, farms and commercial premises where larger loads and balanced three-phase integration are required.
Use more solar, control when energy moves and prepare selected circuits for outages.
Compare rated output, PV capacity and backup performance.
“Maximum recommended PV” and “peak EPS” are equipment ratings. They do not replace cable calculations, battery-current limits, DNO approval or a protected-load assessment.

Figures are based on current official SolaX X1/X3 Hybrid G4 documentation. Model availability and firmware features can change; the quotation confirms the final equipment and settings.
A hybrid inverter alone does not make the whole property “off grid”.
A safe, useful backup system needs the supported components, protective devices and a clear decision about which loads must remain powered.
Battery and power assessment
Usable battery capacity, inverter discharge limits and likely outage duration must suit the intended loads.
Changeover and distribution
A compatible Matebox or designed switching arrangement separates supported circuits safely from the grid.
Protected-circuit design
Essential loads are selected and tested. High-demand appliances may need to remain outside the backup board.
