MCS sets requirements for renewable-energy installations and the companies carrying them out. Certification demonstrates that an installer has been assessed against the scheme’s standards and continues to be subject to ongoing requirements.
MCS does not itself manufacture solar panels or batteries and does not directly underwrite their product warranties. Product warranties normally remain with the manufacturer, while workmanship and consumer-protection arrangements sit alongside the MCS framework.
