Local protection. Clear manufacturer cover.
Solar warranties backed by 10-year workmanship support
Straightforward warranty guidance for solar panels, batteries and inverters—plus long-term local aftercare from Mr Solar in Norwich, Gorleston and across East Anglia.
The Mr Solar difference
Two types of protection, clearly explained
Your system can have both manufacturer warranty cover and Mr Solar workmanship support. They protect different parts of your installation, so we explain what each one means before work begins and provide the relevant documents at handover.
10-year workmanship support
For eligible new systems installed by Mr Solar, qualifying faults caused directly by our installation workmanship are supported for 10 years from commissioning, subject to the terms supplied with your contract.
Manufacturer warranties
Solar panels, batteries and inverters are covered by their manufacturer’s model-specific warranty. Duration, capacity retention, throughput and registration conditions can differ.
Local help when it matters
Our teams in Gorleston and Norwich help identify whether a problem concerns workmanship, equipment, monitoring or another part of the system, then explain the appropriate next step.
Important: cycle life and warranty are not the same
A battery may be designed for thousands of cycles, but its formal warranty can also include a time limit, energy-throughput limit, retained-capacity level and operating conditions. We confirm the applicable terms for the exact model in your quotation.

Battery and inverter warranty guide
The following is a practical guide to commonly supplied equipment. The manufacturer policy in force for the exact model and installation date remains the definitive document.

| Manufacturer | Typical current cover | Important conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Tesla Powerwall | Current UK terms provide a 10-year limited warranty and 80% energy retention at year 10 for eligible uses. Solar self-consumption, time-based control and backup have unlimited cycles under the stated policy. | Registration, internet connectivity, approved installation and permitted use are important. Cover depends on the applicable Powerwall model and Tesla terms. |
| Sunsynk W-Series batteries | Sunsynk currently states a 10-year product warranty and 6,000+ charge cycles at 80% depth of discharge across its LiFePO₄ battery range. | Cycle figures describe expected design life and do not replace the formal warranty. Registration, compatible equipment and operating conditions apply. |
| Sunsynk inverters | Cover varies by inverter range, model and the manufacturer policy supplied with the installation. | Correct registration and MCS installation information may be required. We identify the exact warranty in your proposal and handover pack. |
| Fox ESS batteries | Current UK terms include five-year standard cover, with qualifying extensions to 10 or 12 years depending on model. Performance cover is generally subject to 70% retained nominal energy and a model-specific throughput limit. | Eligible extensions require timely product registration and qualifying Fox Cloud monitoring. Different Fox battery families have different terms. |
| Fox ESS inverters | Current eligible models generally have five-year standard cover with a possible additional five-year extension. | Model exclusions apply. Registration within the required period and continued Fox Cloud connection may be required. |

Panel manufacturers normally provide a product warranty for manufacturing defects and a separate linear performance warranty for long-term power output. Exact cover depends on the full model number—not simply the brand name.

Common questions
Warranty FAQs
Does the 10-year workmanship support cover product failure?
No. Product faults are normally handled under the relevant manufacturer warranty. Mr Solar’s workmanship support covers eligible faults caused directly by our installation workmanship, subject to the supplied terms.
Does a 30-year panel warranty cover every cost?
Not necessarily. Product supply, labour, transport, testing, removal, scaffolding and access costs are treated according to the manufacturer’s policy and your Mr Solar contract.
Is a battery’s cycle rating guaranteed?
A stated cycle life is not automatically the same as warranty cover. Formal cover may also be limited by years, total energy throughput, retained capacity, temperature, depth of discharge and other operating conditions.
Will Mr Solar help with a manufacturer claim?
For systems supplied and installed by us, we will help identify the appropriate claim route and provide relevant installation records. The manufacturer decides whether a claim is accepted and which remedy applies.
