A smarter energy strategy

Turn unused space into a productive business asset

Commercial solar PV can reduce reliance on expensive grid electricity by generating power where it is used. Add battery storage to retain surplus energy, manage peak demand and make more of every unit your system produces.

  • Designed around your half-hourly or interval consumption data
  • Rooftop, ground-mounted and carport options
  • Battery, EV charging and future expansion considered from day one

⚙️

Turnkey Delivery

Survey, design, grid applications, installation, commissioning and monitoring handled by experienced accredited professionals.

Business benefits

More than lower electricity bills

A well-designed system can improve cost control, operational resilience and long-term sustainability performance.

£

Lower energy costs

Offset electricity bought from the grid with power generated on site.

📉

Peak management

Use battery capacity to reduce demand peaks where the tariff structure supports it.

🛡️

Greater resilience

Explore backup capability for agreed essential loads and critical operations.

↗️

Commercial return

Receive realistic savings projections based on your actual consumption profile.

🌿

Carbon reduction

Support ESG goals and demonstrate practical action on business emissions.

🔌

Future-ready

Plan capacity for EV charging, electrification, expansion and changing demand.

Typical system sizes

Designed to fit the site—not an off-the-shelf package

These examples are a starting point. Final capacity is based on site survey, consumption data, roof or land availability and grid constraints.

Business profile Indicative solar PV Indicative battery Common applications
Small commercial unit 10–30 kWp 10–30 kWh Offices, workshops, shops
Medium business 30–100 kWp 30–100 kWh Warehouses, schools, farms
Large commercial / industrial 100 kWp+ 100 kWh+ Factories, logistics, large estates

Battery capacity is determined by load profile, tariff opportunity, export limits, backup requirements and the intended operating strategy.

Guide costs & returns

Clear figures, based on real business data

Every proposal includes site-specific assumptions so you can understand the expected benefit before making a decision.

Commercial solar PVFrom £900–£1,200 per kWp

Indicative installed cost before any project-specific VAT treatment.

Commercial battery storageFrom £400–£700 per kWh

Varies by power rating, capacity, controls, access and backup specification.

Potential grid reductionOften 20–60%

Highly dependent on operating hours, tariff, load shape and system design.

*All costs, savings and payback periods are indicative only. A tailored assessment is required before projected returns can be confirmed.

Funding & tax considerations

Make the commercial case work harder

Capital allowances

Qualifying expenditure may be eligible for capital allowances such as the Annual Investment Allowance. Your accountant should confirm eligibility and treatment.

VAT treatment

Commercial projects do not automatically qualify for domestic zero-rate VAT. We provide clear quotations and recommend confirming recoverability with your tax adviser.

Export income

Eligible installations may receive payment for metered surplus electricity through an export tariff, subject to supplier and scheme requirements.

We can support the technical documentation and grid-connection process; independent tax advice should be taken for your business.

Our process

A clear route from feasibility to live generation

Feasibility review

Site details, objectives, bills and consumption data.

Survey & design

Roof, electrical infrastructure, access and grid capacity.

ROI proposal

System design, projected output, savings and fixed quotation.

Installation

Coordinated delivery with disruption kept to a minimum.

Support

Commissioning, monitoring, maintenance and performance care.
