Solar Panels Designed Around Your Home in Norfolk & Suffolk
Today’s compact residential panels generally produce around 400–500 W each. We use high-quality N-type and back-contact modules from Canadian Solar, Trina Solar and AIKO, selected to suit the roof, appearance and required system size.

More power from each roof space.
A few years ago, domestic panels were commonly rated around 300–370 W. Current residential modules now sit broadly between 400 and 500 W, so the same roof can often support a larger array with fewer panels.
Many compact residential modules use a 54 full-cell format split into 108 half-cells. Manufacturers do not all count or describe cells in the same way: Trina’s current Vertex S+ datasheet, for example, lists 144 cells. Panel dimensions, electrical characteristics and inverter compatibility matter more than the marketing cell count alone.

View AIKO →Panel wattage becomes array size.
Array size is the panel rating multiplied by the number of panels. A 10-panel system using 450 W modules is 4.50 kWp; 12 panels is 5.40 kWp; 16 panels is 7.20 kWp.
Higher-wattage panels are particularly useful where roof space is limited, but the best design also considers orientation, shading, inverter limits and how much electricity the property uses.
Example with 450 W panels
- 8 panels = 3.60 kWp
- 10 panels = 4.50 kWp
- 12 panels = 5.40 kWp
- 16 panels = 7.20 kWp
- 20 panels = 9.00 kWp
All-black panels create a more consistent roof finish.
Black frames, dark cell surfaces and discreet interconnection patterns help the array read as one clean block rather than a patchwork of blue cells and silver lines. AIKO’s back-contact design is especially uncluttered, while Canadian Solar and Trina offer strong all-black residential options.

Terracotta panels for sensitive roofs.
For clay-tile roofs, conservation settings and projects where black modules may look too prominent, Eurener’s terracotta-coloured N-type modules offer a visually softer alternative.
The current range includes 360–375 W single-glass modules and a 400 W dual-glass bifacial module in RAL 8001 terracotta.
