DNO, District network Operator suppliers will be notified that you have installed Solar Panels on your home if they are grid connected, this will usually be done by the installer, they will raise a request normally within 30 days of installation. If you choose to export (sell spare electricity to the grid) you will need an MCS certification for SEG which will pay for your spare electricity.
You can choose who supplies your energy. This company is known as your energy supplier and they bill you for the energy you use. If you’re not sure who your energy supplier is, you’ll need to contact your energy network operator who can help you to find out.
